We have been photographing in the Holzmarktpassage since 2019, at the former location of Foto Stein. Modern equipment, two minutes from Holzmarkt square.
Finding the right angle, waiting for the best moment and capturing the loveliest smile, that is our passion.
We have been in Jena since January 2019 and want to make you happy with good and unusual photos.
Our professional team of photographers looks forward to capturing pictures of your children that stay in your memory, and application photos that help your application succeed. You are at the centre of everything. We turn your photo shoot into an event.
We are happy to cover your family or company celebration as well. Our SELFIEPIX photo booth is the highlight of every party.

One studio for everything people want photographed
Our photo studio of around 36 square metres offers a calm and personal atmosphere for passport photos, application photos, portraits and family shoots. The compact size creates a relaxed setting where we can focus entirely on you. Everyone who comes to us should feel at ease.
We take time for individual advice, explain every step and show the photos right away on screen. That is how professional photos are made without any rush and with a result that convinces.

Moayad Shilleh
Owner of Event Foto Jena UG
The art of portrait photography is to make something of a person’s soul visible.
Moayad Shilleh has worked as a professional photographer for more than ten years. He worked in Syria, Egypt and Turkey and has lived in Germany since 2015. In 2019 he took over the studio in Jena. It all started with a passion that soon turned into real professionalism. Iris photography joined in 2022 and has since grown to more than 150 sessions.
For application photos he makes sure that strengths and skills become visible. At events such as weddings, school enrolments and family celebrations his feeling for the right moment, the nicest background and the perfect light is the secret of his success.
He edits every photo himself, with long experience in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

What we work with
Good photos need good light. Our studio is set up for everything from a passport photo to a family of six.
Five backdrops
White, grey, blue, yellow and pink. Plus armchair, sofa and props.
Selection on the monitor
Large calibrated screens, so the colours are right.
Our own photo printing
Prints and passport photos are produced in the studio.
Macro station for irises
A dedicated setup for iris photography with special optics.
Room for children
Open space to run around, props and patience are part of it.

Holzmarktpassage
You find us in the centre of Jena, inside the Holzmarktpassage at the former location of Foto Stein. Two minutes on foot from Holzmarkt square.

Not for passport photos and the MINI and BASIC application photos. For every shoot we book a date so we have time for you.
Where exactly is the studio?
In the Holzmarktpassage, Holzmarkt 1, 07743 Jena. We are on the ground floor of the arcade, at the former location of Foto Stein.
Do you speak English or Arabic?
Yes. We advise in German, English and Arabic.
Can I see the studio beforehand?
Gladly. Come by during opening hours and we will show you the sets.
Where do I find my photos after an event?
In a protected online gallery. You reach it through client login.
